HORNBILL AT DUSK

The many species of wild figs are one of the most favourite diets of Hornbills. Small orange figs blend within a dramatic orange backdrop, while a silhouetted Indian grey hornbill (Ocyceros birostris) descends to devour some figs before nightfall.

This painting was made for a fundraiser exhibit, ‘Art for Hornbills’, organised by Nature Conservation Foundation (NCF) for their Hornbill Nest Adoption Program in the Northeast. A percentage of sale of this artwork will be contributed for their phenomenal efforts to safeguard the Hornbills and their habitat.
