HARLEQUIN MOTH (Campylotes histrionicus)

Usually mistaken for a butterfly, this bright colourful moth flits about during the daylight hours. The vivid colours announce that they are distasteful, thus keeping predators away. Fairly common in the Northeastern western ghats, it’s also found all along the Himalayas in India.
